Mrs. Mary Kay Ryder
Mrs. Ryder graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has continued her education towards her permanent teaching certification which she expects to complete this fall. Mrs. Ryder taught third grade and preschool students for six years in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. She has also taught seventh and first grades at St. Catharine of Siena School in Mount Penn. Mrs. Ryder has taught third grade at St. Ignatius since 2005, and she's looking forward to another fantastic year!
Last year, Sr. Pat and Mrs. Ryder co-chaired the Prayer Buddies committee. Praying together each Monday morning as a school family has become a special new tradition. This time started out each morning with a few minutes for prayer buddies to just talk with one another. Then, we prayed together before starting the school week. We also got together for a few special activities. Mrs. Ryder especially liked watching the whole school sitting on the grass by the recess yard enjoying popsicles and conversation! We are planning more activities that will continue to bring us closer to each other and to Jesus throughout the year!
