Mrs.
7th Grade
Hi, my name is Kelly Berry and I have been in the Diocese of Allentown since 2005. Nine of those years were at St. Catharine of Siena in Mount Penn teaching 3rd grade and 5th to Middle School Science, Social Studies, and Language arts. I graduated from Alvernia with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree concentrating on K - 6 certified. I also have a Minor in Business from Reading Area Community College. My Master's is in Academic Standards and Reform since 2021 and I am STEM endorsed since 2019.
I am married with two children; Christopher and Olivia. In my free time, I spend every moment at the beach enjoying all it has to offer! I love to read and enjoy all genres of books through St. Benedict's Book Club. Antiquing and repurposing old items are my favorite winter activities along with going to auctions!
I thoroughly enjoy teaching Middle School Science here at St Ignatius. I strive to stay on top of all the latest scientific discoveries and inventions in order to create rich conversations in the classroom. Labs, experiments, and demonstrations along with building problem solving and communication skills are of utmost priority in my classroom. Having fun while learning and exploring is also very important to me!
"Science is about the miracle of the mundane - and children can appreciate this best. Every child is a scientist!" ~ Susan Bosak
I look forward to a wonderful year!
