Hi. My name is Susan Larkin. I am a 1985 graduate of St. Ignatius Loyola School, and I am thrilled to be continuing my teaching career in a place that is so near and dear to my heart.  It is here, in fifth grade, that I knew that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up.  I can credit Mrs. Wentzel (Miss Rys at the time) and Mr. Merkel for that inspiration.

I went on to graduate from Holy Name High school in 1989 and then Villanova University in 1993, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in K-8 Elementary Education.

I was lucky enough to secure a job right away in the Daniel Boone Area School District and taught fifth grade there for ten years before "retiring" to raise my three children, Nolan, Nancy, and Molly with my husband, John.  We live in Wyomissing and are members of Sacred Heart Parish.

In my free time, I love family dinners and forced family fun

activities :-), taking my dog for walks, watching HGTV, reading magazines and traveling to the beach, Cape Cod and anywhere else we can!

Getting back into the classroom has been a wonderful experience for me. I feel lucky to be teaching here at St. Ignatius, and I have the support of the fantastic faculty and staff, your children and you to thank for that!
